This urban park lies at the heart of the Ballymun regeneration project, a large area of housing renewal on the outskirts of Dublin. Following an extensive process of participation with local residents and other community shareholders, Whitelaw Turkington developed the masterplan, carried out detailed design and implementation of the first two phases. The company acted as lead consultants on the project, co-ordinating the activities of QS, civil engineers and M&E engineers and worked closely with the appointed public artist for the park.
The range of facilities within the park reflects this process and includes a full size Gaelic football pitch, children's play zone, bowling green, boule court, orchard ozier bed within a strong, formal framework of planting and landform.
